Scouts fall at Delaware

DELAWARE, OH – The Scouts travelled to Delaware to take on the Cows for a Sunday afternoon tilt. Jacob Reding got the start for the Scouts and pitched 6 strong innings, allowing just two runs. The Cows took the lead on a solo homerun in the first inning, and later tacked on an additional run to make it 2-0 when Reding exited.

The Scouts brought the lead down to one in the 8th when Jay Davis blasted an opposite field solo homerun to make the score 2 to 1. However, the Cows answered in the bottom of 8 with two more runs to make the score 4 to 1. The Scouts threatened in the 9th, but failed to score, making the final score 4 to 1 Delaware. The Scouts fall to 5-9 on the season. Eddie Young led the Scouts with 2 hits on the day.

The Scouts will travel to Grand Lake to take on the Mariners today in a rescheduled game. Today’s game will be the second of a four game road trip for the Scouts.
